How mobile installation works, what to send us, and what to expect from your quote.
Do I need to bring my car to a shop?
No shop trip is generally needed. Current Auto Tech is a mobile installer serving Salt Lake County and Utah County. We confirm a suitable work location with you before scheduling.
What does CarPlay installation cost?
CarPlay installation labor starts at $99. Your vehicle, required parts, and installation details determine the final quote. Equipment is separate, and other services have their own pricing.
Should I buy equipment before contacting you?
You can ask us first. In many cases, we help identify compatible equipment and provide a link for you to purchase it yourself. If you already have equipment, send us its model details.
What should I include in my quote request?
Your name, phone number, vehicle year, make, model, and what you want installed. A clear photo of your factory radio or dashboard is helpful but optional. Please avoid including personal information in photos.
How long does an installation take?
Timing depends on the vehicle, equipment, and services involved. We’ll discuss an estimate for your job when we prepare your quote.
Does requesting a quote book an appointment?
No. Jacob will contact you to discuss the vehicle and installation. Scheduling happens after you’ve agreed on the equipment, work, and quote.
Which areas do you serve?
We serve Salt Lake County and Utah County, including Salt Lake City, Sandy, Draper, South Jordan, West Jordan, Murray, Lehi, American Fork, Orem, and Provo. If your city isn’t listed, call or text and we’ll confirm availability before you plan a visit.
Can you install at my workplace?
Tell us the parking situation and whether you have permission for work on the vehicle there. We’ll confirm the location and access before scheduling.
Will CarPlay work in my vehicle?
Many vehicles can be upgraded, but compatibility depends on the factory system and the equipment. Send your year, make, model, and a dashboard photo so we can check your options.
Can I get wireless CarPlay or Android Auto?
Wireless support depends on the radio or interface and your phone. Tell us which phone you use and what you want from the upgrade so we can help identify a suitable setup.
Does the $99 starting price include a radio?
No. The starting price is for CarPlay installation labor. Equipment and any extra parts or work are quoted separately.
Can you keep my steering-wheel controls or backup camera?
Retention depends on your vehicle, the new radio, and available adapters. Tell Jacob which factory features you want to keep so we can check the requirements before you buy.
Do you repair my original radio?
We don’t repair internal radio components, circuit boards, or screens. We help you explore a compatible replacement and install the agreed radio.
What other upgrades do you install?
Besides CarPlay and Android Auto, we install replacement radios, speakers, backup cameras, and dash cams throughout Salt Lake County and Utah County.
